Using Credit or Debit cards - What is/Who are SECPay?
In order to process your payment for goods in such a manner as to give you optimum peace of mind and the best security possible, we use a third party (SECPay) to process your credit/debit cards. What this means is that we at Off My Head acknowledge that we aren't security experts; so we pay professionals to handle these matters for us. In this way we can continue to devote our time to you, the Customer, safe in the knowledge that your credit & debit card payments are in the best possible hands.
SECPay formed in 1998 and have since provided a large number of internet merchants (over 3000 to date) with a facility to process credit and debit cards securely over the internet. They handle small businesses like ours, but also charities and large Blue Chip clients. They also have a good working relationship with our existing "High Street" bankers. We have selected them carefully after considering a number of alternatives. We are aware that some people will have purchased goods over the internet before, perhaps using another third-party payment system such as PayPal. Although these other payment methods (they are called Internet Payment Gateways) provide a similar service, we are confident that the high level of security and additional anti-fraud checks that SECPay provide as a matter of course make them one of the best at what they do.
If you are in any way unhappy with handling credit or debit card payments over the internet, we also provide a Cheque payment facility. Of course, this method will require you to post the cheque and for it clear before we can despatch any goods to you.
